YMCKO
A full-color ID card ribbon with five panels: Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, black (K), and a clear Overlay.
YMCKO is the most common ID card printer ribbon. The Y, M, and C panels blend to reproduce full color, the K panel lays down crisp black text and barcodes, and the O (overlay) panel seals and protects the finished card. A typical roll yields around 250 to 300 prints.
More on this in getting the right ribbon the first time.
One YMCKO ribbon plus one card makes one finished full-color badge, so your real per-card cost is the roll's price divided by its yield, not the sticker price. If you only print black text, a monochrome ribbon prints several times as many cards per roll. Always match the YMCKO part number to your exact printer, ribbons are not interchangeable between families.
