Monochrome ribbon

A single-color ribbon (usually black) for printing text and barcodes only.

Monochrome ribbons print one color and deliver far higher yields at lower cost than full-color ribbons, ideal for simple badges, visitor passes, or the black-only back of a card.

More on this in the guide to ribbon part numbers.

Because a monochrome roll uses one continuous panel, yields run into the thousands of cards, far more than a full-color YMCKO roll. Black, white, and metallic monochrome ribbons let you print text-only badges, visitor passes, or print onto dark and pre-printed stock.
