YMCKOK

A full-color ribbon that adds a second black (K) panel for printing black on the back of a dual-sided card.

YMCKOK is used on dual-sided printers when the front needs full color and the back only needs black (barcodes, text). The extra K panel saves a full color pass on the reverse side.

More on this in our guide to matching ribbons.

The second K panel lets the back of a dual-sided card print in resin black without spending a full color set, which lowers cost when the reverse only carries a barcode, signature panel, or terms. It is a common pick for employee and student IDs that are color on the front and black on the back.
