What usually goes wrong on a Evolis

Print head wear. Streaking and dropouts, usually traced back to debris on the card path rather than hours on the machine.
Cleaning roller neglect. Evolis machines lean heavily on the adhesive cleaning roller, and a saturated roller puts card dust straight onto the head.
Ribbon detection and calibration. Ribbon errors and color drift that show up after a supply change.
Card feeder and transport. Feed failures, jams, and flip-station faults on dual-sided machines.
Retransfer faults on Agilia and Avansia. Film handling and fusing problems that look like print problems but are not.

Evolis printers reward maintenance more than most. The adhesive cleaning roller is doing real work on every card, and when it is saturated the debris goes onto the head instead. A meaningful share of the Evolis machines that reach our bench needed a cleaning kit, not a repair, which is the cheapest possible outcome for you and the one we will tell you about honestly.

Which Evolis models do you repair?

How often should an Evolis printer be cleaned?

Manufacturers recommend running a cleaning kit at every ribbon change, and on Evolis machines that guidance matters more than most, because the adhesive cleaning roller is the main defense for the print head. Printers that get it reliably last considerably longer.

Is Agilia repair different from Primacy repair?

Yes. Agilia and Avansia are retransfer printers, which print onto film that is then fused to the card, so they have a whole stage the direct-to-card machines do not. Faults that look like print-quality problems on those models are often film or fusing problems instead.

Can you service an Evolis printer bought somewhere else?

Yes. We repair Evolis machines regardless of where they were purchased. As an authorized service center the parts and procedures are the same either way.
