Badge Buddy
An oversized color-coded card worn behind an ID badge so the wearer's role reads from across a room.
A badge buddy hangs behind the ID card on the same reel or lanyard and carries one short role word, RN or SECURITY or VISITOR, in large type on a color background. Vertical cards are 2-1/8 by 4-1/2 inches and horizontal ones 3-3/8 by 3-3/32, in both cases exactly as wide as the CR-80 badge in front and about an inch longer, so it is ordered rather than printed in house. There is no national color standard: every organization sets its own scheme.
