Dual-sided

Automatically printing both sides of a card (also called duplex).

Dual-sided printers flip and print the back automatically, saving labor when the reverse carries barcodes, terms, or a stripe.

More on this in what to look at before you buy a printer.

A dual-sided (duplex) printer flips and prints the back automatically, so it earns its higher price at volume or whenever the reverse carries a barcode, terms, or signature panel. If you regularly print two-sided cards by hand, the labor saved usually justifies the upgrade quickly.
