A more secure MIFARE smart-card family with encryption.
MIFARE DESFire cards use strong encryption and are chosen when access security is a priority.
DESFire is the secure end of the MIFARE line, using strong AES encryption for access control and payment. If your security policy rules out classic MIFARE or prox, DESFire (often MIFARE DESFire EV2 or EV3) is the usual answer.
