About the Card Imaging Fargo DTC1500 Single Side ID Card Printer

The Fargo DTC1500 prints straight onto the card, which makes it a straightforward workhorse for staff badges, student IDs and visitor passes. It runs at 300 dpi and turns out a full-color card in about 16 seconds, so a batch of 200 badges is an afternoon rather than a project. The 100-card input and 100-card output hoppers mean you load it once and leave it running.

It takes both CR-80 and the smaller CR-79 size, in PVC, composite or rewritable stock, and it can print a custom watermark into the card surface, which is a quiet way to make a badge harder to copy. USB and Ethernet are both built in, so it works on one desk or across a building.

This unit is configured single-sided. The platform will print both sides at up to 150 cards an hour if you add the dual-sided module later. Its ribbon is the 45610 YMCKO, rated at 500 prints, and the 86177 cleaning kit covers it along with the rest of the Fargo DTC family.
