The Fargo 84500 clear retransfer film is an essential consumable for all HDP5000, HDP5000e, and HDP5600 retransfer printers. Without this film, your HDP printer cannot produce cards - it is a required component of the retransfer printing process. This 1,500-print roll serves as a direct replacement for Fargo part number 84053 and delivers excellent cost-per-card economics for high-volume ID card programs. Retransfer technology works by first printing your image onto this clear film, then heat-fusing the film to the card surface for superior edge-to-edge quality and durability. This process enables printing directly over smart card chips, proximity card antennas, and contact pads without damaging embedded electronics.
